Situated halfway between Granada city and the Mediterranean Costa Tropical you will find the Lecrin Valley. A peaceful green oasis with authentic Spanish white washed villages. You can wander around for hours passing orange and lemon trees and be stunned by the spectacular views over the Beznar Lake. The restaurants in the different villages offer nice local food and good tapas, and because of the friendly locals you feel instantly at home.
Nigüelas
Lovely village set on the bottom of the Sierra Nevada national park. Niguelas has 1200 inhabitants and offers a range of bars and restaurants, a bank, a pharmacy and a primary school. The beautiful plaza is the centre of the village social life. From the village there are beautiful walking tracks into the mountains.
Distances and accessibility
Within half an hour drive you can either be in Granada city or at the beach of the ´Costa Tropical´. The beautiful Alpujarra area is only 15 minutes away and after a 45 minute drive into the mountains you are at the bottom of the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort.
Malaga airport is about an hour and 45 minutes and Granada airport is only a 35 minute drive.
